Tipperary Course Guide

County Tipperary is the home of our Tipperary Racing Tips, which is a dual-purpose racecourse, staging Flat and National Hunt racing.

The racecourse is currently closed and will remain so until 2027 due to redevelopment of the racecourse with the introduction of a new all-weather track; they are hoping the work will be completed by September 2027.

Highlights: There are five notable races at Tipperary throughout the year, with three coming in October. The Concorde Stakes is a Group 3 flat race over an extended 7f.

The other two are National Hunt races, the Joe Mac Novice Hurdle (Grade 2) and the Tipperary Hurdle (Grade 2), also known as the Istabraq Hurdle

Over fences, we have the Like A Butterfly Novice Chase, which is a Grade 3, and in August, there is the Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes, which is contested by fillies and mares over an extended 7f.

Tipperary Draw Bias

❌ For the least profitable stall at Tipperary, you need to look at races over 5f and focus on stall 5, as this has produced an LSP of -45.70 over the last five years.

Here we have the draw bias for Tipperary taken into consideration in races with ten or more runners. We will break down the figures by race trips. Draws can be much more important in shorter trips, where runners do not have time to find their position during the race, meaning the draw is probably more important than in races over longer distances.

  • Sprints (5f to 7½f)
  • Mile (1m to 1m1½f)
  • Middle Distance (1m2f to 1m5½f)

The following table shows a breakdown of a group of trips and shows how each position of the draw does, for example, in a twelve-runner race would be Low (Stalls 1-4), Mid (Stalls 5-8) and High (Stalls 9-12). The positions will always be from the lowest stall number to the highest.
