How competitive is the Galtres Stakes market? When looking at the over-rounds for the last 20 renewals, the most competitive market was in 2018, when the race had an over-round of 109%. The race in 2015 was a race that was most in the bookie's favour with an over-round of 124%, whilst on average over the last 20 renewals of the Galtres Stakes, the over-round has been 116%, which means the bookie expects to pay out £100 for every £116 which is bet.

Below you will find the 2026 Galtres Stakes Trends. See which patterns have occurred over the recent renewals that you may be able to use for the next renewal. We also have a section that looks at the Galtres Stakes Trend Analysis.

These are the top three quickest-run Galtres Stakes races over the last 20 renewals:

  1. Forbearance (2:27.66) in 2021
  2. Sea Theme (2:28.09) in 2023
  3. Scenic (2:28.27) in 2024

Looking at the future form, is the winner worth following next time out? Over the past 20 renewals, if you had followed the winner of the Galtres Stakes next time out, then you would have backed a total of 2 winners. Backing all 19 runners who have been out since their win at SP next time out would have returned an LSP of +0.00. Ahead of the 2026 Galtres Stakes, why not head over to the racing predictions for tips on other races today?

Over the last 20 renewals, it was Forbearance, trained by Mrs John Harrington and ridden by Hollie Doyle, who set the fastest winning time in the Galtres Stakes. That runner won the race in a time of 2:27.66 in 2021. At the other end of the scale, it was the combination of trainer James Fanshawe and jockey Daniel Muscutt with Fleur Forsyte who set the slowest winning time; the race-winning time was 2:37.12 in the 2017 renewal.

What the expert says...
Although not as popular of late, the Park Hill Stakes has been one race the winner has been routed to. Between 2004 & 2025, eight winners took that route, but not a single one managed to win the Park Hill Stakes.
