  • Erling Haaland is the clear 5/4 favourite for the PFA Player of the Year
  • Declan Rice has been heavily backed into 4/1 second favourite
  • Five of the top six players in the market currently play for Arsenal

Haaland Favourite, Rice Shortens

Erling Haaland remains the odds-on favourite with UK Betting Sites to win the 2025/26 PFA Player of the Year award, with the Manchester City striker’s red-hot form keeping him top of the betting.

Haaland has 14 goals in 13 Premier League games so far and continues to be City’s most valuable asset in their title push

But Arsenal’s Declan Rice is now shortening in the market, priced at 4/1 after another commanding performance in the Gunners' midfield.

Rice was instrumental again during the recent 1-1 draw away at Chelsea, a result that kept Arsenal at the top of the Premier League going into December.

bet365 have kept Haaland firmly at the top of the betting market to win the award at the end of this season.

With five of the top six contenders in the betting now coming from Arsenal, it’s clear that the North London side’s title-challenging form is being reflected in the individual award markets.

Haaland Still the Man to Beat

Despite strong pressure from the Arsenal camp, Erling Haaland's consistency in front of goal keeps him at the forefront.

The Norwegian forward is chasing his second PFA award after his standout season in 2022/23 and if his current scoring streak continues, it’ll be hard to overlook him.

Declan Rice’s influence on Arsenal’s midfield has gone beyond just breaking up play with his passing, leadership and big-game temperament elevating Mikel Arteta’s side to the next level.

He’s being hailed as the “heartbeat” of the team by fans and pundits alike and that could see him become PFA POTY.

What the expert says...
It’s going to take something special to stop Haaland, but Rice is exactly that kind of player. If Arsenal win the league, you’d have to think he’ll be right there when the votes come in.
